What’s the Future for 2017: How Elections Influence Science and Environmental Policy

Whats_the_future_2017_flyer2017 brings a landmark transition of power across the United States and North Carolina, leaving many uncertain about the future. How will 2017 fare for scientific and environmental policies? The Science Policy Advocacy Group (SPAG) and the Environmental Sciences and Engineering Student Organization (ENVRSO), with the support of the ESE alumni association, will host a panel of experts and a networking event for a discussion on, “What’s The Future for 2017: How Elections Influence Science and Environmental Policy.” Experts include Kelly Kryc, PhD, former White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, senior policy analyst; and David Goldston, director of government affairs at the Natural Resources Defense Council. Feel free to come for the entire afternoon or drop by for one of our sessions!

Wednesday, February 1st, 2017 from 1:15 pm to 5:30 pm in the Blue Cross Blue Shield Auditorium, Michael Hooker Research Center 001.
